While those sites offer valuable scholarly insights, the official "Come, Follow Me—For Home and Church: Old Testament 2026" manual provided the most direct and applicable devotional guidance for today's assigned scripture block.
The "Come, Follow Me" manual introduces the book of Job as a exploration into why righteous individuals experience suffering, noting that Job himself was a good man who faced immense trials. Despite his hardships and questions, Job steadfastly maintained his integrity and faith in Jesus Christ, demonstrating that faith can coexist with unanswered questions. For Job 1–3 specifically, the manual highlights Satan's role as an adversary who questioned Job's faithfulness, and then encourages us to consider our own reasons for remaining faithful to God and to reflect on Job's responses to his trials.
